The NASCAR Cup Series Drivers' Championship is awarded by the chairman of NASCAR to the most successful NASCAR Cup Series racing car driver over a season, as determined by a points system based on race results. As of October 1, 2018, and remain the only women to have won a race in one of 's touring series, Robinson winning three times between 1988 and 1989 in the now-defunct and Deegan winning in the K&N Pro Series West between 2018 and 2019.
