CREATIVE E-MU 0404 DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS - Hi, After some years away I decided to get back into digital music making and dug out my EMU USB interface and experienced problems getting it to work on my Win10 64bit laptop. Cons Requires mains power supply. Both CD and DVD players are now built into our computers, and most other digital hardware equipment. In Control Panel I see my E-MU 0204. I can change 'Sample Rate'. In Programm (GarageBand) or in 'System settings - Audio - Input' does not any signal. On E-MU there is input signal and I hear sound in my headphones (which connected to E-MU). If I install old original Driver: In Control Panel I see my E-MU 0204.

EMU USB Audio Driver Problem In Preview Build – Microsoft Community
Got a couple of issues with it. Yes, the knob used ub the direct monitor level works like that, it should be normal. Uninstalling and reinstalling driver didn’t solve the issue. I will make sure that Creative is aware of this.
EMU 0404 USB 2.0 Audio Driver Problem In Preview Build 10041
We were able to borrow a EMU from Creative. Applications trying to output audio now freezes and “The audio service is not running” message is displayed at the sound volume icon on the taskbar. But when system updated to preview buildubs driver stopped working. I removed the USB input and pressed all conceivable buttons to no effect.
Oct 1, at I’ll ask Creative if they can fmu us one for testing. The seller has offered to give me some money back.

Now I wonder if it is a temporary state that will emj resolved in the final release or this kind of old but perfectly working usb audio devices won’t be supported any more.

Also i remember one strange thing about drivers. I am using the EMU 0404 on Mac (hack) machine, and when i connected device with Windows system with last beta drivers available - the drivers promted window where was message about firmware update of the audiocard itself! I agreed, and when process of firmware update ended, audiocard rebooted itself (lights on it where ON and a second OFF, then turned ON again).The thing i have to say - some strange errors with your drivers on other people device may accure because firmware mismatch. I recommend to every user of EMU 0202/0204/0404 to connect their devices to Windows system with latest original driver from Creative and check the version of firmware that available for device.
